Scope and status
This development-draft policy covers the static website and the ReproScribe browser extension. Public release requires verified operator identity, jurisdiction, support contact, and legal review. This text is not legal advice.
Website data
The website is static and has no product account, contact form, or product database. In production it may use Cloudflare Web Analytics for cookieless aggregate page and referral measurement. It does not use advertising pixels, cross-site profiles, or user-level analytics identifiers.
Extension data processed locally
After an explicit start action, the extension may process bounded clicks, navigation labels, page errors, failed-request metadata, environment details, a report description, preferences, and a best-effort screenshot for one active-tab session. Captures and drafts are local-first and remain in Chrome storage until deletion.
Data excluded
The extension excludes input and password values, cookies, authorization headers, request and response bodies, arbitrary page HTML, and browsing history outside the active session. A screenshot is not sent to AI.
BYOK AI requests
Pro AI generation is optional. After the user reviews and confirms the final sanitized text, the extension sends only that text directly to the user-configured OpenAI-compatible provider. The API key is carried only in the authorization header. The product operator does not proxy or store the report.
Storage and deletion
Chrome local or session storage may contain the current capture and draft, preferences, signed license, API-key persistence choice, and bounded local Beta diagnostic counters. Users can delete the current report, clear diagnostics, or clear all product data from Settings.
Extension telemetry
The extension has no automatic product telemetry upload, Beacon, cloud report store, or account system. Website aggregate analytics are separate and cannot read extension sessions, reports, screenshots, API keys, or licenses.
Free and Pro boundary
Free local capture, review, basic Markdown reports, and export do not require an AI provider. Pro enables BYOK AI reports, additional report languages, custom endpoints, and custom templates under an offline signed license.
Contact and changes
The verified support address displayed on the Support page is the contact channel. A production policy will identify the actual operator, effective date, change process, third-party providers, and applicable rights before public release.
